Sam is a corporate lawyer with vast experience advising small businesses during periods of growth and transition, including formation, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, operational improvements, and liquidity events.

As a Big Law lawyer at Foley & Lardner LLP, Sam advised large corporations and private equity firms, and now brings that same level of service and sophistication to the SMB/ETA community. Prior to Foley & Lardner LLP, Sam worked at PwC, a Big 4 accounting firm. Since 2016, Sam has founded and operated Pursuant Capital, a holding company focused on acquiring small businesses with a forever holding period.

SMB Law Group, where Sam is a founding partner, has since earned national recognition, including a place on the 2026 Inc. 5000 and finalist status in The American Lawyer's 2026 Industry Awards.
