Evan Thomson leads SMB Law Group’s Fractional General Counsel practice, where he serves as outside general counsel to growing businesses in the lower-middle-market.

Before joining SMB Law Group, Evan served as in-house counsel for over a decade, where he developed the conviction that businesses are best served by a legal partner who thinks like an operator, not a bystander. That perspective shapes how he approaches every client relationship at SMB Law Group: practical, proactive, and right-sized for the business.

He graduated from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2014 and is admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts. Evan lives in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York with his wonderful wife and two sons. Outside the office, Evan spends all of his time with his family (usually in the woods or on the lake).
