Eric Pacifici
Founding Partner
Eric Pacifici is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of SMB Law Group LLP, a fully remote boutique transactional firm he launched with Kevin Henderson in May 2022 to serve the lower-middle-market M&A community: ETA buyers, HoldCo operators, independent sponsors, and founders.
In four years, SMB has closed more than 380 M&A transactions representing over $1.8 billion in deal value across 38 states, with a 95 NPS and zero traditional marketing spend. The firm has been covered by Forbes, Bloomberg Law, Business Insider, and Law360, and was shortlisted for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers North America 2025.
Before SMB, Eric was a corporate associate at Kirkland & Ellis, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Morrison & Foerster, and Baker Botts, working on transactions for clients including Amazon, Jerry Jones, Banc of America Securities, Palantir, and Greenlane Holdings.
Eric writes and speaks widely on the Great Wealth Transfer, the projected $124 trillion shift of assets from Baby Boomers to younger generations over the next two decades. He helped popularize the "Silver Tsunami" framing in the small-business acquisition community, where his X account @SMB_Attorney has grown to more than 148,000 followers. He co-hosts the Main Street Deals podcast with Kevin Henderson and contributes regularly to Bloomberg Law and Law360.
In 2026, Eric was named Managing Partner of the Year by Law.com Florida and, alongside Kevin Henderson, Innovator of the Year. He has also been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for M&A five times (2020, 2022 to 2025), recognized by Best Lawyers in America as "Ones to Watch" in M&A (2023 to 2025), and selected for the Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 (2024).
He graduated from Duke University School of Law in 2015 and is admitted to practice in Colorado, Florida, and Texas. He lives in Windermere, FL
